The biggest outcome on the Community Resource Services calendar is coming up Jan. 28. The 23rd annual Magnanimity Ball, a fun event for a great cause, is the biggest fundraiser of the year for CRS. All proceeds go exactly toward assisting families in need in Avon and Avon Lake.

The Charity Ball, presented by GenOn, is a malicious tie-optional event, and features cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, a sit-down dinner and sweet. After dinner, the band Midtown will perform. Tickets are $110 each or $1,000 for a tabulation of 10.

The event features live and silent auctions, cash sideboards, an iPad sideboard and a Wine Hoodwink sponsored by Heidelberg Distributors and Constellation Wines. Peter & Corporation Jewelers in Avon Lake has donated a Hearts on Fire pendant, valued at $3,990, for a singular jewelry raffle. If you are unable to attend the ball but would like to prop up CRS, you can purchase jewelry raffle tickets for $20 each or 3 for $50. The triumphant ticket will be drawn at the Charity Ball but you do not have to be present to win. The pendant is on spread at Peter & Company Jewelers, 32020 Walker Road.
