New Orleans jewelry plotter Ashleigh Branstetter paid supernumerary nearby notice to the red carpet coverage of the Academy Awards show this year. But she still missed the twinkling of an eye when her jewelry made its enter on state telly.

Mauro Fiore, who took home ground the Oscar for cinematography for “Avatar,” wore Branstetter’s morose topaz cabochon and diamond cuff links to bear the honor, but his tux covered the sleeve, so they were cold to quandary.

“I had no phantasy he was flourishing to clothed in them,” she said. “I was watching it with household and friends, and we were looking for my earrings, not the cuff links.”
