Should I give my childs dad 1/2 of the earned income credit money I get back at the end of the year?

Question: I have been splitting this which is about 500 a peice for several years. My boyfriend now says, legally I dont owe him any of it and Im right-minded givivg my money away. We both support our son and he does pay his accountability of child support. What should I do this year?

Answer: your boyfriend is purposes right but if your ex is and has been supporting you and and child do you really want to poverty-stricken the boat and risk losing that support by stopping the half that you are giving him?
